The Chaos Caused By BCCI’s Mismanagement Of IPL 2023 Tickets

The IPL 2023 Final ticketing process was poorly managed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It caused a rush outside the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the site of the IPL 2023 final match.

The offline tickets weren’t officially announced. But the fans who buy them online have to provide the QR code at the box office to get their physical tickets. So what is the reason for this mismanagement outside the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad ahead of the IPL 2023 tickets?

Reason for Ticket mismanagement

According to reports, fans reaching Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium to pick up their IPL 2023 tickets for the final game were in for a letdown. An image of a frantic rush to get the actual tickets from the stadium box office is posted on social media by a fan.

Fans have been able to buy IPL 2023 tickets via online sites for the two matches in Ahmedabad. It is because the tickets for those events were previously available online. However, fans must visit the stadium to pick up their tickets. It is because of the BCCI and Gujarat Cricket Association’s failure to handle the queue and crowd in Ahmedabad.

The Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians will meet in Qualifier 2 on May 26. According to the official news, the IPL 2023 tickets cannot be physically picked up on Match Days. On May 27, the Box Office will reopen so that fans can pick up their tickets. The stadium can fit in more than one lakh fans. Thus, there is a good chance that a similar show may occur on Saturday as well.

With the stadium’s capacity exceeding one lakh, a similar scene was likely to unfold on Saturday as well. The ticketing process mismanagement causes fans inconvenience as well as huge safety risks.

The BCCI should rectify the situation immediately. They must also ensure that proper measures are in place to handle ticket distribution efficiently going forward. Cricket fans attending IPL games will have a more fun experience if better communication strategies and better approaches are put in place by the BCCI.

IPL 2023 Final

Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans will play in the IPL 2023 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Over 16 editions of the IPL, there have been some great batting performances in the final games.

Both teams are aiming for the coveted trophy. MS Dhoni’s side will be trying to win their fifth title. So it will be a crucial match. The IPL 2023 final will be CSK’s tenth appearance. Additionally, MS Dhoni will play in his eleventh final as well, which is the most of any player to date. Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ambati Rayudu are the next player on the list, each having made eight appearances.

The final match will also witness Dhoni’s 250th game in the IPL. This will be the first time a player in this cash-rich league has achieved this feat.

Despite losing their most recent game to the Men in Yellow, Gujarat is in great shape and looks better than CSK. Shubman Gill has three hundred in his last four games and is a rock-solid player. The main drawback for GT is that, aside from Gill, no other player has had a huge game recently, especially the middle-order.

Rashid Khan and Mohammed Shami are the top two wicket-takers this year. Thus, GT has the finest list of bowlers in that category. Also, Mohit Sharma is really confident after taking a foul shot in the previous game. Hardik Pandya’s return to bowling, which he missed during the last match against CSK, is another good thing for Gujarat.
