Online gamings / E-games have seen a huge surge in popularity since the late 1970s. And it seems to keep on growing. Through competitive gaming and global tournaments offering large cash prizes. But the question arises: Should online gamings be recognized as a sport? Traditional sports lovers often reject this idea. It is due to the lack of physical activity in computer games. Reasons Why E-Games Should Not Be a Sport:

Also, yes, E-games offer various benefits. But, they may not encourage children to engage in physical activity. As children already sit a lot. There are fewer physical activities in their life. Thus, one must look into it.

But, as per the study, the effects are the same as physical sports. Also, the player learns about strategy development. Even they build social and cognitive skills. And those are the parts of physical sports. The skill of playing as a team is common for both. Yes, addiction is a possibility. But, the same happens in many sports too. And we can avoid it too.
