Captain N Kumar has done well in the season 8 of the Pro Kabaddi league. He himself was in great touch. Captain N Kumar scored 57 tackle points in 24 games and his team reached the final in his captaincy.

Sumit

Sumit, the defender from UP Yoddha was given 25 lakhs last year and there are possibilities that he will be retained by the franchise for this year’s Pro Kabaddi League season.

We didn’t talk about Pradeep Narwal and Shrikant Jadhav because they are some of the most expensive buys from the team.

If they retain these two or either one of them, their purse will be lesser when they go into the auction table.

P Narwal was the most expensive buy last year with 1.65 crores. S Jadhav was also bought by UP Yoddha on 70+ lakhs price.

They will look to release these two and will buy them again at the same price or by the use of an FBM card.

Dabang Delhi KC (Pro Kabaddi retained players)

The Delhi based franchise has won its first-ever title last season (Season 8 of the Pro Kabaddi League). They beat Patna Pirates with a margin of just one point with the last score was 36-37.

Their team combination was good in the last season and they will look to retain some of the players which might help them to retain the title in season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League.

Captain of the last year’s champions, Dabang Delhi KC, J Narwal might continue as a leader in season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League. The defender might be retained by the franchise. After he won the first title for Dabang Delhi in his captaincy.

Patna Pirates (Pro Kabaddi retained players)

The Patna-based franchise has done well in the last season of the Pro Kabaddi League. They reached the final but couldn’t make the final push.

They were just one point short of drawing the game. The players they might retain are:

Looking at his important role in the team, they might retain him for the season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League season 9.

Sachin Tanwar

He was the leading raider for the team last year and was one of the reasons for Patna Pirates’ reaching in the final.

The young raider scored 181 raid points and there is a no-brainer that the franchise will consider this performance to retain him for season 9 of the PKL.

These are the few players that the franchise might retain for season 9 of the PKL.
