It is vital to note that Payal is a popular figure in the TV sector. She is the VP of the Republican Party’s women’s wing, which is led by Ramdas Athawale. She is also quite active on social media. Her marriage proposal added a playful thing to the debates around Shami.

She made headlines recently when she told that she wanted to marry Mohammed Shami, the standout bowler for Team India, at the 2023 ICC World Cup. The actress has now made some big accusations against Gautam Gambhir and Irfan Pathan, two former cricketers.

The India pacer failed a fitness test that took place in front of the BCCI medical staff. As a result, he did not play in the South Africa Test series. Since the World Cup 2023 final game, the India pacer has not played cricket.

Mohammed Shami played with discomfort at the ODI World Cup. But a regular heel problem is keeping him from playing, a source told PTI. Despite missing the first four games of the competition, the fast bowler had the best wicket-taking percent. In just 7 games, Shami took 24 wickets at an great economy of 5.26.

“Shami’s left heel has a chronic problem. Many people are unaware that Shami played the entire World Cup in discomfort and took injections”. A former Bengal teammate who was aware of his issues told PTI.

Shami’s 7-57 against New Zealand in the Mumbai semi-final is the best bowling figure by an Indian bowler in a ODIs. Mohammed Shami has taken 24 wickets in 7 games. That includes the final match, making it the most in the 2023 World Cup. 

With 24 wickets, Shami has surpassed Zaheer Khan’s 21 in the 2011 World Cup to become the most by an Indian in a single World Cup.

Mohammed Shami has four five-wicket hauls in the World Cup. This is the most by any bowler in the World Cup history. In addition, he is the first Indian bowler to take a five-wicket haul in World Cup history and the fastest bowler to get so. During the World Cup, Shami has taken 55 wickets in 18 games.
