The lead India pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, is probably going to take a rest for the fourth Ind vs Eng Test against England. The fourth Ind vs Eng test match starts in Ranchi on February 23. Meanwhile, batter, K L Rahul, might also make a return from an injury too.

With 17 scalps, Bumrah leads all wicket-takers in the five-match series. In the second Test, he bowled India to victory on his own. In the five-match rubber, the hosts are ahead 2-1. A BCCI source said. “The team will travel to Ranchi tomorrow and Bumrah will likely rest.” Rahul, on the other hand, is getting close to full fitness and should be in the Ranchi squad.

India beat England by a record margin and go 2-1 up

Day 4 of the third Ind vs Eng Test saw India defeat England by a record 434 runs. This is Team India’s biggest test victory ever. Captain Rohit Sharma tells the key lesson learned, which is that young players can deliver when it counts.

The young players’ efforts gave India hope for a successful future for the Test team.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, 22, became the third youngest player to hit two double hundreds. The youngest being Vinod Kambli, and the second youngest being Don Bradman.

After doing well for years in first-class cricket, Sarfaraz Khan, 26, made sure he capitalized on his Test debut with two half-centuries. Shubman Gill, 24, who began the series under pressure. He turned things around with a hundred in the 2nd Test and a 91 in this Test’s second innings.

England was all out for 122 in their second innings while chasing a total of 557 runs. It was reminiscent of the earlier era when English batsmen would crumble into a heap when their spinners gave runs to Indian batsmen.

There were a few dramatic moments in the match. Starting with India falling to 33 for 3 on the first morning of play . The day ending with R Ashwin having to quit the match in the middle of the second day due to a family emergency on the evening of Day 2, after attaining the incredible milestone of 500 Test wickets. Sunday morning, he returned to the team; according to Rohit, “It shows his character to put the team ahead.”

However, Jadeja is the man of the match after matching his first-inning century with a five-for in the second inning to bowl out England for 122.

England’s offensive Bazball strategy will also come under scrutiny after this game. Did they go overboard or overcook it?

Star Pacer Jasprit Bumrah is set to rest for the 4th India vs England Test in Ranchi

Jasprit Bumrah is set to take a rest ahead of the fourth Ind vs Eng Test match against England in Ranchi. The Test match in MS Dhoni’s hometown will begin on February 23. The teams will shortly take a plane to the state capital of Jharkhand. There is a little time to spare between their matches.

Given his busy schedule, Jasprit Bumrah might not be travelling to Ranchi on the plane. Given that India leads the five-match series 2-1, the BCCI has decided to rest its star pacer, who has recently struggled with injuries.

Jasprit Bumrah battled a stress fracture in his back that kept him out of cricket for a whole year. Since Bumrah has already bowled 80.5 overs in the first three matches and is the leading wicket-taker with 17 scalps from those three matches, Rahul Dravid and Co. do not want to take any more chances with him.

Bumrah has been great with the ball and took six wickets in Vizag to help India affirm a 2-1 lead at home. In the series, he has taken a four-wicket haul as well.

However, the Indian management is controlling his workload by making sure he takes enough breaks in between series. After missing out on the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) the previous year with an injury. Bumrah will shortly be playing for the Mumbai Indians (MI).

In the same way, Mohammed Siraj was rested from the second Ind vs Eng Test. Due to BCCI regulating his workload. He was absent from the squad in Vizag and finally returned before the Rajkot Test.

Who will replace Bumrah in the playing 11?

Siraj is the team’s lead and effective fast bowler in Ranchi and will only get better with time. Mukesh Kumar will join the team in Ranchi after being freed before the third Test to represent Bengal in a Ranji Trophy match. Notably, the right-arm fast bowler Akash Deep, who is also a member of the team, may make his Test debut in Ranchi

As per a Cricbuzz article, the outcome of the Ranchi Test will tell whether or not Bumrah plays in the series’ last Ind vs Eng match. The teams will fly to Dharamsala for the fifth and last Test. Jasprit Bumrah is probably going to travel to Ahmedabad to be with his family.
