IPL 2023: All 10 Teams’ Best Playing 11 using Retained Players

The IPL 2023 (Indian Premier League) is 4 months away and today we will talk about the best playing XI from the retained players by all 10 franchises in the IPL 2023. A total of 163 players are retained by the 10 franchises. And 85 players are released by the teams in the IPL 2023.

The mini-auction of the IPL 2023 will happen on December 23 at Kochi. And December 15, 5 PM is the last date to register the players for the mini-auction. A total of 250 players will go under the hammer in the IPL 2023 auction.

Best playing 11 from the retained players by all 10 franchises for IPL 2023:-

(1) Gujrat Titans (GT)

We have put Gujrat Titans first on this list. H Pandya led side won their first-ever title in their first outing. They have a very good bowling attack with Rashid Khan, M Shami, and L Ferguson. H Pandya led the team very well and his leadership quality impress the former cricketers as well.

There is a possibility that H Pandya will lead the side in the future. They also had a very good batting lineup in D Miller, R Tewatia, S Gill, H Pandya, etc in the IPL 2022. Even R Khan played some crucial cameos in the lower middle order. That is why we have rated GT at the top.

Gujrat Titans retained players:-

Abhinav Sadarangani, Alzarri Joseph, B. Sai Sudharsan, Darshan Nalkande, David Miller, Hardik Pandya, Jayant Yadav, Matthew Wade, Mohammad Shami, Noor Ahmad, Pradeep Sangwan, R. Sai Kishore, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill, Vijay Shankar, Wriddhiman Saha, Yash Dayal

(2) Rajasthan Royals (RR)

RR is the runners up in the IPL 2022. They will look to go one step further in the IPL 2023. J Buttler led the side from the front and was the leading run-scorer in the tournament. He scored 3 centuries in the IPL 2022.

RR is the second in the list of best playing XI from the retained players.

(3) Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

LSG is another team along with GT who participated for the first time in the IPL 2022. And they have done well to reach the top 3 with 9 wins in 14 games. They are the third on this list.

LSG’s retained players-

Avesh Khan, Ayush Badoni, Deepak Hooda, K. Gowtham, Karan Sharma, KL Rahul, Krunal Pandya, Kyle Mayers, Manan Vohra, Marcus Stoinis, Mark Wood, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, Quinton De Kock, Ravi Bishnoi

(4) Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

RCB was one of the teams in the IPL 2022 that finished in the top 4. They retained some of the very good players in Faf du Plessis, G Maxwell, V Kohli, etc. And now Virat is getting back to form is a good sign for RCB.

RCB’s retained players-

(5) Delhi Capitals (DC)

DC reached the final of the IPL 2020, but couldn’t cross the line. In the IPL 2022 as well, they finished in the 5th position with 7 wins in 14 games.

DC’s retained players-

Aman Khan (T), Anrich Nortje, Axar Patel, Chetan Sakariya, David Warner, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kuldeep Yadav, Lalit Yadav, Lungisani Ngidi, Mitchell Marsh, Mustafizur Rahman, Pravin Dubey, Prithvi Shaw, Ripal Patel, Rishabh Pant, Rovman Powell, Sarfaraz Khan, Syed Khaleel Ahmed, Vicky Ostwal, Yash Dhull

(6) Punjab Kings (PBKS)

We have put PBKS at No. 6 on the list. They had a very good team in the IPL 2022 but couldn’t do as per the expectations. PBKS would like to redeem itself in the IPL 2023.

PBKS’ retained players-

Shikhar Dhawan, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Chahar, Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar, Raj Angad Bawa, Prabhsimran Singh, Rishi Dhawan, Jitesh Sharma, Baltej Singh Dhanda, Atharva Taide, Liam Livingstone, Kagiso Rabada, Jonny Bairstow, Nathan Ellis, Bhanuka Rajapakse

(7) Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

KKR reached the final of the IPL 2021 and finished at No. 7 in the IPL 2022. The two times IPL champions would like to win their third title in the tournament in the IPL 2023.

(8) Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

SRH had a very young team with a very strong middle order in A Markram, N Pooran, etc. They need to fit in some of the match winners to be able to go one step further in the IPL 2023.

(9) Mumbai Indians (MI)

We have put MI at No. 9 because most of their big stars have either gone to the other teams or have retired. They finished last in the IPL 2022.

(10) Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

The franchise is in a transition phase and there will be wholesome changes in the team for sure in the IPL 2023.
